50 Meter Rifle (Switzerland)

Did you know that the Swiss Volksschiessen is shot from April 1st to October 15th? Because the competition is license-free, it offers clubs the chance to invite guests to shoot and get them interested in the sport. Also a fantastic opportunity to host events.

The  Competition in 1939 arose from the need of the turmoil of war. At that time, ammunition for 300m shooting was scarce, and there were no practice opportunities either. Small caliber shooting was therefore a welcome alternative.
